William (Bill) Andrew Bates

William (Bill) Andrew Bates passed away in his home on May 18, 2015. He was surrounded with the love of his family and friends.Bill was born Sept. 24, 1957 to Rev. Jack and Mary Bates in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a longtime resident of Duvall, Washington. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brothers. Bill leaves behind his children, Jason, Lydia, Dylan and Sam; sister Sarah Bates; his loving companion Barbara Leahy Clark; granddaughter Rosemarie and two grandbabies that are soon to arrive, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.There will be a celebration of Bill’s life at his house as he requested with a potluck barbecue.Instead of flowers, the family has requested to please donate to the Veterans Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
