Obituary: Helser

Lawrence “Larry” HelserLawrence “Larry” Helser passed away Jan. 14, 2016, in Rockwall, Texas, after a long bout with cancer. He was born in Mitchell, Nebraska, on Feb. 28, 1929, and married Arla Diffendaffer July 29, 1953, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She passed away Nov. 6, 2008, soon after their 55th wedding anniversary. Larry graduated in 1951 from the University of Nebraska Pharmacy College as a registered pharmacist. He had a 33-year career with the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. On May 15, 2010, Larry married Dixie Stiegelmar in Rockwall.He is survived by his wife, Dixie Stiegelmar; his daughter, Leslie and husband Randy; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Shannon Neal.Memorial services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, in Rockwall, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor can be sent to the First United Methodist Church – Building Fund at 1200 E. Yellowjacket Lane, Rockwall, TX, 75087.
