Obituary: Coughlin
John Patrick Coughlin, Jr., 82, passed away on Dec. 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brighton, Massachusetts on Aug. 29, 1933 to John and Mary (DeSonie) Coughlin.Obituary: CoughlinHe attended Matignon High School, Cambridge, Massachusetts before moving to Concord and graduated with the CHS class of 1952. He played baseball and football and played in the Winston-Salem Bowl coached by Bernie Megin. He was a graduate of Boston College and served in the U.S. Army.John was a salesman for Breck Shampoo, Hunter Sportswear and Aspen Ski-Wear.He and his family moved to Holly, New York and owned and operated Bike and Ski and an ice cream parlor in Brockport, New York. The family moved to Woodinville where he owned and operated Woodinville Ski Rentals for many years until his retirement.John loved New England, especially Cape Cod, where the family spent many summers. He also loved the Pacific Northwest. John spent his last years drawing and painting. He was known to deliver painted pumpkins to businesses in Woodinville each Halloween.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dora, and his daughter, Louise Faulds. He is survived by his children, Julie Manion, Jenifer and Matthew Coughlin; his sister, Carol Ober, and her husband, Dale of Durham, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Conor, Meagan, Isabelle and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.Obituary: Coughlin
