Obituary: Sadlier

Patrick Sadlier (aka Skip), passed away on Friday, February 26th, surrounded by family.Skip was born in Seattle in 1948, and his family moved to Carnation in 1951.Obituary: SadlierHis parents, James and Virginia Sadlier, and his sister Sunne, worked the family dairy farm and were a well-loved family in the community.He graduated from Tolt High School in 1966. In high school he was big into sports, cars and FFA. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968, serving five years. He received a high award from the Vietnam army for his work engineering roads to create access to villages in high danger areas.After Vietnam Skip worked on the family farm, and later worked at Carnation Farms.He married the love of his life, JoAnne Huffman, in 1981, and had two children, Julie and Eric.He transitioned to truck driving in the late 1980s, working for Dennis R Craig Construction and later for Earth-to-Earth Trucking.In retirement he enjoyed relaxing in the pool, listening to country music, playing pool at Pete’s Club, and spending time with his wife.He leaves behind his family; JoAnne, Eric, Julie, and Ryan, as well as his sister Sunne Grady, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.He will be tremendously missed by numerous friends and family in the Valley.A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, March 19th at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Sno-Valley Senior Center.
