EDNA CRANSON, 86Edna Lorraine Cranson was born in Syracuse, New York on December 7, 1929. She passed away on May 14, 2016. Edna married Roland D. Cranson in 1950. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage and raised three children in New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Illinois, Missouri and Washington.Obituary: CransonA consummate mother and homemaker, Edna was an excellent hostess and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved collecting cookbooks and recipes. She also loved to sew and quilt with her two daughters. Edna and Roland were avid campers.Edna had a strong faith in God. She loved to sing and participated in many church choirs as well as Bible Studies.Edna is survived by her three children, Cheryl Cranson, Don Cranson, Paula Peterson and her son-in-law Glen Peterson, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Edna lost her eyesight due to a serious illness early in 2013. Edna continued to crochet dish cloths and sew blankets for the homeless until the final weeks of her life.Memorial donations can be made to either Seattle Union Gospel Mission or the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library (WTBBL) - Seattle Branch.
