Linda Kay DeYoung Cooper, 70, of Woodinville, Washington, passed away Wednesday, August 3rd in the comfort of Evergreen Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.Obituary: CooperShe was born July 21, 1946 in Richland, Wash. She is survived by her parents Al and Donna DeYoung; daughters Jennifer Taylor (m. Bill Taylor) and Wendy Gerbing (m. Jeff Gerbing); grandsons Detlef and Deidrick Gerbing; and sister Lucy DeYoung.Linda graduated from Bothell High School with the class of 1964. She attended University of Puget Sound where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. In adulthood, Linda’s number one priority was being a mom. She made sure her girls gained a wealth of childhood experiences; no other mom could hold a torch to the miles logged on the family minivan. As an empty nester, Linda was property manager at the Market Place at Queen Anne.Linda was known for her generosity, hospitality, and loyalty to family. She enjoyed Arabian horses, and her book club.
