Melinda L. ScottAfter a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Melinda L. Scott, age 68, died on January 9th. The end was fulfilled with Melinda’s husband and son by her side. A talented writer, Melinda’s articles appeared in local periodicals, particularly in Northwest Indian News and The Valley Record. She also wrote and published a biography of well-known Duvall resident Ralph Taylor. Melinda was crucial to the success of her husband’s construction business, taking care of the accounting and office duties. Originally from Ohio, Melinda settled in the Duvall-Carnation valley with her family in 1976. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Carl Scott, her son, Thomas Wetzel, her brother, Mark Wetzel (Nancy) and a niece and nephew.
