Robert Lukas Kaftan, 86 from Woodinville, died peacefully from heart failure in his sleep on May 6th, 2018 at Evergreen Hospice, outside of Seattle.Robert Lukas KaftanBob was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and his brother Stanley. He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Kaftan of Lexington Park, MD and son, Bob Kaftan of Woodinville, WA. He had four grandchildren, Scott Ward and Suzanne Cannon, Ashley Kaftan and Alexa Kaftan. He was fortunate to have four great grandchildren: Shawn and Ryder Ward, Caden and Alaina Cannon.Since Bob’s birthday was on St. Patrick’s Day, we always had a great Celebration. He was the life of the party and had many friends who will miss him dearly. He loved going to church, bible study and playing cards at Brittany Park. His true passion was fishing. Every single opportunity he had, you could find him with a fishing pole in his hands. May the joy of catching the big one be ever present for you on your next journey, Dad. Be sure and tell Mom how much we miss her!Please join us in a Celebration of Bob’s Life on Saturday, May 26th at 3 p.m. at the Woodinville Community Methodist Church (17110 140th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA 98072).In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
