Darwin ‘Bergie’ Bergeson
August 16, 1943 – June 11, 2010
Darwin and Paula were married in Oakridge, Ore., Aug. 24, 1963.
He was employed at Lockheed shipyards until 1965, when he founded B & B Fabricators.
Bergie had two great passions in his life — his family and his business. Darwin was a man of unquestionable integrity and honesty. His word was better than any written contract and his handshake could bring you to your knees.
His faith in Christ was an inspiration and clearly guided his life as a husband, father, mentor and employer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Paula; his sons, Brian and fiancé Rocio, Mark (Renee), Todd (Jody); and his daughter Darla Woolman (Colby).
He was Papa Darlin’ to his grand-babies: Mariah, Aleah, Isaac, Keira, Ethan, Victoria, Christian, Kristina, and John and couldn’t wait to meet his newest grand-baby due in November.
He is also survived by four sisters, one brother and countless nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, June 26 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville, Wash. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in his name at Seattle Children’s Hospital, a place dear to his heart.
