Robert “Bob” Leslie CornerRobert “Bob” Leslie Corner, age 81 of Bothell, Washington passed away on October 21, 2018. Bob was born to Ivan and Laura Corner of Bothell, Washington on December 26, 1936. A 1955 Bothell High School graduate, he left to serve his country in the Air Force from 1955-1959 and received an honorable discharge. After the Air Force, Bob found his passion in what he would describe as the “best profession on the planet” - the Fire Service. During his long and distinguished Fire Service career, he achieved the ranks of Chief of the Bothell High School Junior Fire Department, Bothell Fire Inspector and Fire Chief, Fire Marshall for King County Fire District 26 in Des Moines and Fire Chief for King County Fire District 36 in Woodinville. He was also past President of the Washington State Fire Chiefs and Firefighters Associations.Bob was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Ivan Jr., William and John Corner. He is survived by his daughters Christine Corner and Lisa Griffith (Dennis), by one grandson, Robert Erickson (Caitlin), and longtime partner, Alice Darrow. He was a loving father, proud grandpa, dedicated firefighter and caring person with a great sense of humor who will be greatly missed the rest of our lives. A Celebration of Life Ceremony was held on Saturday, October 27th.Donations can be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
