Walter (Buddy) Malcolm Johnson

Walter (Buddy) Malcolm JohnsonWalter (Buddy) Malcolm Johnson was born on April 19, 1932 in Washington State to Eleanor Louise and Maurice George Johnson. Buddy was the grandson of Walter Ross Taylor and Gladys Taylor of Duvall, Washington. Buddy passed away after a stroke on February 6, 2019 in Phoenix Arizona at the age of 86. He graduated from Naselle High School in 1951 and joined the Navy.Buddy served for four years and then returned to the Seattle area. He worked for Boeing for 40 years and retired in 1995. He married Mercedes (Mercy) Esquivel in 1961 and helped raise three children, Flora, Linnie and Sunny. Mercy passed away in 1993. Buddy married Kathryn Mary Joyce on October 10, 1997. Buddy and Kathy moved to Cottonwood, Arizona in 2002 and enjoyed retirement together. He will be missed by his wife, Kathy, his many cousins and other family members.A military service is scheduled for Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Tahoma National Cemetery.
