Born in Alexandria, LA to John and Lillian Terrell. Preceded in death by sisters Doris Kuba and Loula Shirley and by brother, John Terrell. Survived by sister, Irma Brown of Woodinville, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who live throughout the US. His childhood years were spent on his grandparents' cotton plantation near Boyce, LA. After serving in the US army stationed in Korea and Japan, Hugh settled in Los Angeles where he met and married Elena Corrales of Costa Rica. They were married over 30 years before she died of a heart condition. They had no children. His namesake, Hugo Davaila, age 7, lives in Upland, CA. Hugh was a man of deep faith and was kind and caring. He cherished his ancestral loved ones who raised him and appreciated hard work. He had a long, successful career as a long-haul truck driver with the Teamsters in Los Angeles.
