Ronald Jack Mewett

Ronald Mewett, 69, passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2009, at Lake Chelan Community Hospital after a long brave battle with cancer.

Ron was born on Feb. 13, 1940, in Southampton, England. He moved to the United States in the 1970s where he had a successful career with the Fluke Corporation for over 30 years.

Ron was the loving husband of Irene and beloved father of Jonathan, Simon, Amy, Dave, Cayley and Alek.

Ron and Irene retired to Chelan in 2004 where they have enjoyed an active life within the community. Ron enjoyed playing poker and golf with friends. His hole in one will go down in history.

Ron lived life to the fullest with a smile on his face and a song for every occasion. He walked through his illness with courage and dignity. Those who knew Ron will keep his memory alive forever.

A memorial service in Ron’s honor was held at North Shore Bible Church in Manson Sept. 25. Afterwards a celebration of Ron’s life was held at Wapato Point Cellars.
