Barbara Joss (1934-2022)

Barbara Blair Joss, 87, of Woodinville WA died peacefully in her sleep January 11, 2022. She was born June 15, 1934 in Wichita, Kansas. The loves of her life were family and friends, music, Crystal Lake and its community, and travel.Barbara started playing the violin at age 5 and played up until she was 81 years old. She was a strolling violin at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle. She played in the Everett symphony for approximately 45 years and played in a string quartet with dear friends for many years. She was a trained music therapist. Barbara was a music educator in the LWSD, and a huge advocate of music in our public schools. She is survived by her brother, Byron Blair, 2 daughters; Diana, Debi (Bob) 5 grandchildren; Heather, Matthew (Amanda), Lauren (Chris), Jesse, Brendon (Jaime), 4 great grandchildren; Taylor (Alex), Carter, Jack, Nolan, and 3 great - great grandchildren; Jayden, Addi, baby Brendon.If you would like to make a memorial donation in Barbara’s name, please donate to the Everett Philharmonic Symphony.A Celebration of Life will take place June 12th at 3:00 at the Crystal Lake Clubhouse in Woodinville WA.
