by Woodinville Weekly Staff

Willow March Guptill died Monday, November 15, 2010. She was born on March 19, 1922, in Carnation.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, H.C. (Cecil) Guptill, in 1995. They lived much of their life in Monroe before retiring and moving to Carnation to live in the house where Willow was born.

That property had been homesteaded by Willow’s grandparents, Vilinda and Shamgar Morris.

Willow enjoyed gathering with family and friends, and two weeks prior to her illness they celebrated the house’s 100th birthday.

Willow is a granddaughter of Redmond pioneer William Perrigo, and she is survived by her brother Chase Morris (BJ) of Carnation, the only living grandchild of William and Matilda Perrigo.

Willow is survived by son Dan (Joan) Guptill of Electric City and daughter Galen Trabont of Carnation; grandchildren: Joe (Kasse) Guptill, David (Stephanie) Guptill, Kerry (Taj) Gould, Kristy (Dean) Trabont-Patriquin, and Kurt (Tracy) Trabont; great grandchildren: Ashley and Daniel Guptill, Riley, Jayda, and Regan Gould, Tyler Anne Trabont, Caylen and Cole Patriquin, Kayla and Serra Plotner. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews with whose lives she also played an important part.

Willow was a beautiful, loving and gentle soul who made everyone feel special. We will all miss her, and we will never forget her.

Funeral services will be November 23, 11 a.m., Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, 409 W. Main Street, Monroe, with a graveside service at Carnation Cemetery and reception at Tolt Congregational Church.
