Partners in Pollination: Woodinville an Invitation to Participate

April 05, 2023

Partners in Pollination is excited to announce their wine barrel planter signup page is available to anyone interested in hosting a pollinator planter outside their business.

Partners in Pollinators is a team of community members who have joined together to rally the community around supporting pollinator health and habitat at the local scale. They have created pollinator-friendly planters from repurposed wine barrels that businesses can pay ($150) to have placed in front of their business in mid-late April.

The team is collaborating with Molbak's Garden + Home and Oxbow Farm to source the plants and raise awareness throughout the community about the benefits of opting for native and naturalized plant species when customers are considering what to plant in the yards, gardens, or flower beds.

Kirkland has a similar program with about 250 businesses lined up each year with a waiting list. We're starting small this year with only 30 planters.
