David Taylor

David TaylorDavid was born and raised and graduated from high school in Nampa, Idaho, the son of William and Margaret Taylor. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years as an Electricians Mate Senior Chief. He married his wife Dolores Knotts on May 2, 1970 in San Diego.

The family moved to Carnation in 1990 when he retired from the Navy, where he enjoyed spending his time with family, horseback riding, fishing and eating cookies (David loved his dessert every night). He started a new job at Eastside Saw and Sales of Bellevue for 16 years as a tool repair technician. David had the talent to repair almost everything. He was a great teacher.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Taylor.

He is survived by his loving family; wife, Dolores Taylor; mother, Margaret More and stepfather, James More; brother, Paul Taylor; daughters Michele Quinlin, Karen (Brian) Terrell, Jennifer (Paul) Hughes; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Seth, Erin, Haley and Elaine, and a large extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Flintofts Issaquah Funeral Home, 540 E Sunset Way, Issaquah. A reception will follow.
