The Woodinville Arts Alliance is thrilled to announce its inaugural "Oktoberfest Art & Ale" event in the fall. Mark your calendars for Sept. 16, 2023, as the WAA celebrates and supports local artists. As part of their mission, the WAA is hosting a poster contest encouraging the community to unleash their creativity. The WAA encourages you to let your imagination run wild with the theme of beer, art, and all things Woodinville.
Submissions will be accepted until Friday, June 30, and the WAA welcomes participants of all ages. Each person may submit up to two entries. The winner will be announced no later than Friday, July 5, and will receive a $100 Ethan Stowell Gift Certificate and four tickets to the exciting Oktoberfest Art & Ale event in September.
Please email your submissions to contact@woodinvilleartsalliance.com. The poster should have dimensions of 11 inches by 17 inches, in a vertical orientation, and be submitted as a JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF file. Please allow for some cropping for border purposes, and refrain from adding watermarks to your artwork. Please label your artwork with your full name, title, and medium (e.g., First_Last_Title_Medium) to ensure proper identification.
The WAA requires that all submissions be original and created solely by the artist. The chosen winner will be asked to provide a high-resolution digital artwork file within three days of receiving the notification. Minimum resolution requirements will be provided to the selected artists.
By participating in this contest, you grant the Woodinville Arts Alliance permission to utilize the submitted artwork for WAA-related marketing and merchandise. This includes, but is not limited to, social media, publications, news releases, online platforms, merchandise, newsletters, and other communications related to the mission of WAA.
If your artwork is selected, the WAA may include a statement and reveal your identity in publications. However, they respect your choice to remain anonymous if desired. For the statement, we encourage artists to write in the first person, sharing their purpose and inspiration, and may also provide a brief background. The statement should not exceed 350 words and may be edited to meet WAA guidelines.
The chosen artwork will serve as the main graphic for promoting the campaign and be featured in digital media and merchandise created by WAA. Join us in this exciting opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to the vibrant arts community of Woodinville.
