Donald A. Davis
Donald A. DavisDon was born on October 10, 1920, in Tolt, the son of Leonard and Ruby Davis.
He was raised in Tolt and attended Tolt High School. He served in the U.S. Army Calvary during World War II in Burma, India, and China where he packed mules to the front lines.
He married Mary Evelyn Mills on December 2, 1939, in Fall City.
He lived his entire life in Carnation and worked for his brother Harold in the woods as a logger for 45 years. The company was Davis Logging of Preston.
In his leisure time he enjoyed rock collecting, hunting, fishing, and was an avid berry and mushroom picker. He maintained Carnation Cemetery for 19 years.
Survivors include daughter, Connie (Randy) Smith of Fall City; two sons, Roger (Dorothy) Davis, Lincoln, Wash., Paul (Judy) Davis, of Carnation; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn in 1990 and his daughter Judy Brazington in 2009.
A brief graveside service and reception have been held.
The family suggests remembrances to the Carnation Cemetery Fund.
