Darrell DeVere Goodrich Sr.
Darrell DeVere Goodrich Sr.Darrell was born in Tacoma, Wash., on December 25, 1941. He grew in Wapato, Wash., with his sister, Marilyn (Goodrich) Bates of Union Gap, Wash.He lived most of his adult life in Woodinville.Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Goodrich.After serving in the Army in Anchorage, Alaska, Darrell became a skilled engineer and product safety manager. He also worked, just prior to retirement, at the Kingsgate Safeway Filling Station.He was always busy on a project or activity and was an excellent craftsman.On weekends, and in retirement, he enjoyed camping, fishing, the ocean and taking pictures of his travels with his wife.Darrell was very proud of his two children, Darrell Goodrich Jr. and his wife, Debbie Goodrich of Duvall and Lisa Goodrich-Ellis and her husband Stan Ellis of Bellevue.He is also survived by his seven adoring grandchildren: Aaron, Daniel, Taylor, Nicole, Jesse, Rylie and Caleb, as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.A special thanks to Mari and Alin Rujoni, of Mari’s Home Care in Kirkland, Washington for their care of Darrell over the last year and a half, and making us all feel like family.A memorial service will be held to honor Darrell on Saturday, March 23, at Meadowbrook Church, at 12:30 p.m. 17944 NE 65th Street, Redmond, WA 98052.
