Apr. 10, 1924-Mar. 25, 2014Andrew Joseph Douvier of Woodinville, Washington passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Andrew (Andy) was born on April 10, 1924 to Henry and Amelia (Mareck) Douvier in Holdingford, Minnesota. He was raised on the family farm, the fifth of nine children. At the age of 19, Andy moved to Seattle where he enlisted in the Army Transport Service and worked on ships transporting supplies between Seattle and Alaska until the end of WWII. During this time, Andy met and married Bertha Weston, his wife of 63 years. Together they raised a family of 10 children in Seattle, White Center and Burien. In 1989, they moved to Woodinville to spend their retirement years. Andy worked for over 40 years at Leckenby Steel where he proudly helped construct many buildings and bridges in Washington. He also taught blueprint reading at Green River College and was a building consultant. Andy lived his life with love for his faith and family.Andrew Douvier
